Vicky officially announced as 2019 W Series driver

After four days of on-track action, during which the 28 drivers vying for a place on the W Series grid completed 3,000 laps of the Circuito de Almeria, the final line-up has been announced. Eighteen women representing 13 nationalities will be making history by racing in the first ever all-female single-seater racing series; four more have been nominated as reserves. And Vicky Piria is part of it. The Italian was amongst the quickest drivers on track. First race will be held in Hockenheim, from 3rd to 4th of May, during the DTM weekend.

Vicky in the last 28 drivers new WSeries selection process

The new all-female W Series has revealed the 28 drivers to have progressed to the next stage of its selection process, after three-days of intensive assessment in Austria. The successful 28 drivers were hand-picked from a field of 54 by a panel of judges including W Series directors David Coulthard and Dave Ryan as well as former Indycar driver Lyn St James.
